... is a youth development program of the Boy Scouts of America, for young men and women who are 14 (or 13 and have completed the eighth grade) through 20 years of age. Venturing's purpose is to provide positive experiences to help young people mature and to prepare them to become responsible and caring adults. Venturing is based on a unique and dynamic relationship between youth, adult leaders, and organizations in their communities. Local community organizations establish a Venturing crew by matching their people and program resources to the interests of young people in the community. The result is a program of exciting and meaningful activities that helps youth pursue their special interests, grow, develop leadership skills, and become good citizens. Venturing crews can specialize in a variety of avocation or hobby interests.

Country Pond Fish & Game Club is hosting "Venture Crew #4570".

• This Crew will be made up of boys and girls between the ages of 14 and 20.
• Crew members are not required to be members of Country Pond Fish & Game Club.
• Anthony Levin, CPF&G Club Member #4234, will be the Club Liaison to the Crew.

Because a Crew is part of the Boy Scouts of America Organization, each member is required to follow the Ideals of Scouting. The most important of these would be the safety of the Crew and any bystanders they encounter. All leaders that have any direct contact with the Crew members are required to take BSA Youth Protection Training. This helps to ensure that no questionable behavior occurs.

This Crew will specialize in shooting, and Crew members will only be permitted to use firearms while under the supervision of a trained Range Officer. All basic firearms safety guidelines will be followed at all times. All members of the Crew will go through a safety training program and will have a Club Liability Waiver signed by their parent or guardian before they are allowed to participate in any activity on Club property.

Venture Crew members will organize and participate in various shooting activities at the Club throughout the year. These activities will be posted on the "Coming Events" page.
