2003 Chili Cook-Off - February 15, 2003

This is a fun competition where everyone who attends (both club members and the public) is a judge. Here the hungry judges line up to sample the entries submitted by:   Patsy Cline, Kingston   Dan George, Freemont   Leo Havlin, Sandown   M.J. Klein, Derry   Patty Provenzano, Windham   Debbie Shimel, Exeter   Jeff Theobald, Haverhill, MA   Lowell Wickersham, Atkinson
		Entries were numbered to keep the recipes anonymous during the voting. Most people started sampling at entry number one which left a couple of our volunteer servers at entries five through eight waiting for customers.
There is only one blue ribbon awarded and Debbie Shimel of Exeter collected the most votes. In addition to the blue ribbon, Debbie gets one year's worth of "braggin' rights".
		Sharing the stage with Debbie are Dan George who was second and Patsy Cline who finished third. We thank all of the chili cooks that shared their special recipes with us. Of course, the big winners were the judges (everyone who attended) because they got to eat all that fine chili.
We'll do it all again next year so keep your eye out for a great recipe to share.
